In the Salamanders first exhibition game of the season, things started out slow with no hits in the first two innings. Slone Greaves was the starting pitcher for Holly Springs and went three up, three down in the first two with no score for either team.

Cole Beddingfield came in the third for the Salamanders with no hits allowed. One run from Braden Durham in the bottom of the third brought the score, 1-0.

James McGrady pitched the fourth and ran in Cam Walker for the Shakes leaving the score tied at 1.

Connor Wilson finished the top of the fifth with one hit and two strikeouts. The bottom of the fifth was big for the Salamanders with two RBIs from Jordan Ardoin and Andrew Grande leaving the score 5-1.

Brandon Noel pitched the sixth inning for the Salamanders and left with one strikeout. A Ryan Picollo RBI brought home Michael Quinones leaving the sixth inning score 7-1. The final pitchers left with six total strikeouts from Max Kasprowicz, Zach Horwith, and Parker Morgan in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings. The final score was 10-1 after two RBIs from Andrew Grande and one RBI from Braden Durham in the seventh and eighth innings.

The Salamanders will be back in action looking for their first official CPL win tomorrow in a matchup against the 0-1 Martinsville Mustangs.
