HOLLY SPRINGS N.C. – The Holly Springs Salamanders romped the South Wake Shakes 5-1 after a five-run third inning Thursday night at Ting Stadium. 

Trailing by a run, the Salamanders put two on with two outs before a dinger by Dylan Bloomquist vaulted Holly Springs in front, 3-1. 

Later in the inning Sam Peddycord delivered a two-run hit toward center to extend the lead to the final 5-1 margin. 

Caden Copeland recorded the win after allowing one run over three innings pitched. 

Holly Springs returns to Ting Stadium Saturday, June 25 at 6:00 p.m. hosting the Morehead City Marlins in a doubleheader, tickets are available online at SalamandersBaseball.com
