WILSON N.C. – The Holly Springs Salamanders fell to the Wilson Tobs 11-0 Tuesday at Historic Fleming Stadium.
A nine-run inning by the Tobs in the seventh gave Wilson a lead they could not surrender.
Tim Haverstick and Trey Paige of the Tobs scored their other two runs in the third and sixth innings, contributing to the final winning margin of 11-0.
Starting pitcher for the Salamanders, Dylan Blomquist, took the loss, giving up three hits and one run.
The Salamanders will be on the road again Wednesday as they face off against the Wilmington Sharks at Buck Hardee Field. First pitch is at 7:00 p.m.
