Head Coach Brian Rountree comes to the Holly Springs Salamanders after coaching with the HiToms from September 2014-August 2019. In 2018, Rountree helped lead the team to a CPL Western division title, as well as, a regional championship against the Savannah Bananas to play in the CPL Championship. His leadership helped the HiToms make the CPL playoffs 3 of the 5 seasons he was head coach.

Rountree also coached 19 seasons with the Louisiana Tech Bulldogs as a pitching coach. His 19 years of coaching is one of the longest tenures of all coaches currently working at the university. Under Rountree’s coaching, 15 Bulldog pitchers have been drafted or signed free agent contracts with professional baseball teams in the last 11 seasons. Prior to Louisiana Tech, Rountree spent four years as an assistant at the University of South Carolina.
