HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C.- After a weather delay in the bottom of the second delayed the game an hour and a half, the Holly Springs Salamanders took a victory over the Wilson Tobs, 1-0.

The game had no score after the first six innings and a Ryan Picollo (St. Joseph’s) double in the bottom of the seventh got the bats moving for the Salamanders. Pinch runner Mika Petersen (Brown) ran one in for the Salamanders to advance their lead by one.

Peyton Brown (Campbell) earned the win for the Salamanders after pitching three innings allowing one hit and striking out one.

Jack Anderson (Vanderbilt) earned the save tonight pitching the top of the ninth and striking out two.

The Salamanders will be back at Ting Stadium tomorrow night, June 24 against the Peninsula Pilots. This will be their third matchup against the Pilots this week after going 1-1.
