HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C.- The Salamanders took a loss tonight against the Chili Peppers after two runs scored in the sixth gave Tri-City a leg up on the game.
Holly Springs (13-16) tied the game in the second after two runs scored by Tri-City (15-11) in their first at bat. Peyton Burton (2-1, Campbell) allowed two runs in the top of the sixth that sealed the victory for the Chili Peppers, 5-2.
Levi Huesman earned the win in six innings striking out eleven and only allowing two runs and two hits.
Holly Springs will be back in Ting Stadium tomorrow, July 9 for a matchup against the South Wake Shakes in an exhibition game with the first pitch at 5:40 p.m.
