HOLLY SPRINGS, N.C.- A six-run third inning gave Morehead City an lead early in a game that they would never trail on Thursday night at Ting Stadium, as they defeated Holly Springs 10-4.

The only runs from the Salamanders (22-24 / 11-11) came off a Garrett Pennington (NC State) two-run single and an Austin Hawke (Wake Forest) RBI single.

Holly Springs will be back at Ting Stadium on Friday, August 4, for a 6:30 p.m. first pitch against the Peninsula Pilots.
